Appivon ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Football Predictor 2026 mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- **Guest Mode:** When you use the App as a guest, we generate a random anonymous identifier stored locally on your device. No personal information is collected.
- **Google Sign-In (optional):** If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your display name, email address, and profile photo URL from Google. This is used solely for account identification and cross-device sync.
1.2 User-Generated Content
- **Predictions:** Your match score predictions are stored locally on your device using an offline database. If you sign in with a Google account, predictions may be synced to our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) for cross-device access.
1.3 Match Data from External Sources
- **Live Scores and Schedules:** The App periodically fetches publicly available match fixture data (schedules, venues, scores, and match status) from an open football data provider. This is a **read-only** operation — no personal data, device identifiers, or user information is sent to this service. Only match data is received.
- **Background Sync:** The App uses Android WorkManager to refresh match data approximately every 30 minutes when a network connection is available. This ensures you see up-to-date schedules and live scores without manually refreshing.
1.4 Automatically Collected Information
- **Analytics Data:** We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including: screens visited, features used (e.g., prediction submissions, bracket views), app version, device type, and operating system version. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
- **Crash Reports:** We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and diagnostic data to improve app stability. Crash reports may include device model, OS version, stack traces, and app state at the time of the crash. No personal data is included in crash reports.
- **Advertising Data:** We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data with ads to serve relevant advertisements. See Section 5 for more details.
1.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your location data

2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the App's functionality

- Fetch and display live match scores, schedules, and venues from a public data source
- Calculate prediction points by comparing your predictions against actual match results
- Improve app performance and fix bugs (via crash reports)
- Understand how users interact with the App (via analytics)
- Display advertisements (via AdMob)
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
- All prediction data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database (Room)
- Authentication tokens are stored in Android SharedPreferences
- Data remains on your device unless you opt in to cloud sync via Google Sign-In
3.2 Cloud Storage (Optional)
- If you sign in with Google, data may be stored in Firebase Firestore servers located in the United States
- Firebase services comply with SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, ISO 27001, and other certifications
- Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Data may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- With Firebase/Google services as described above for App functionality
- With AdMob for advertising purposes as described in Section 5

7. Data Retention
- **Local data:** Remains on your device until you uninstall the App or reset predictions
- **Match data:** Fixture schedules and scores are cached locally and refreshed periodically from a public data source
- **Cloud data:** If synced via Google Sign-In, data is retained until you delete your account or request deletion
- **Analytics data:** Retained for 14 months per Firebase Analytics default settings
- **Crash reports:** Retained for 90 days per Firebase Crashlytics default settings
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- **Access:** View all your prediction data within the App
- **Delete:** Reset all predictions via Settings > Reset All Predictions
- **Account Deletion:** Sign out and delete your account to remove cloud-synced data
- **Opt Out:** Use the App in guest mode without providing any personal information
- **Ad Preferences:** Control ad personalization through your device settings
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), you additionally have the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA Users)
For users in the European Economic Area, we process personal data based on the following legal grounds:
- **Legitimate Interest:** Analytics and crash reporting to maintain and improve app quality
- **Consent:** Personalized advertising (you can withdraw consent via device ad settings at any time)
- **Contract Performance:** Account data processing when you sign in with Google to enable cross-device sync

10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
